If you’ve been in blogging for a while, you’ve probably heard of Mediavine, which is a company that places ads on your site — you know, so you can earn that sweet, sweet passive income while you sleep 😴

Up until 2023, there was only one Mediavine. Now there are (kind of) two, but it’s all the same company.
To apply to “regular Mediavine,” you need 50,000 monthly sessions to your site — as in, 50,000 actual people need to have visited your site in the last 30 days in order to apply.
This isn’t exactly an easy feat — but then again, Mediavine is a “premium ad network” with premium requirements…
As well as a stellar reputation, excellent customer service, proactive support, and most importantly, great earnings potential.

I’ve only had ads on my site for about 30 days, but I’ve already made a couple hundred bucks — which admittedly isn’t much to brag about — but I expect to be making double (hopefully triple) that next month.
That’s just how it goes when you’re on a new ad platform.
The first month or two, advertisers are still getting to know your content, so they won’t bid big bucks to place ads on your site (yet!).
In time, they will — so don’t expect any juicy payouts straight out the gate. They will come though 🤑
How do I know that?
Because Mediavine evaluates applications on a site-by-site basis, and they don’t approve sites they don’t think know will earn good money.
After all, they make a percentage of what you earn, so it’s not in their interest to work with sites that won’t lead to more earnings for themselves.
